We recently got an email from Scott Leonard, the Structures/Aerodynamics Lead Engineer for rLoop: a team who entered the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition last year. He said:
"I'm part of rLoop, a team of people from the internet that entered the SpaceX Hyperloop Pod Competition last year. Our order from Speedy Metals was used to manufacture our entry (actually a total of 2 prototypes), a fully pressurized and hovering pod capable of speeds up to 300 mph in vacuum. [...] We put [our order] to use proving that hundreds of people from around the world who mostly never met in person could build a piece of complex engineering."
