Speedy Metals owns and operates some of the most sophisticated, state of the art sawing, shearing and cutting equipment available. We can saw your parts plus or minus 0.030 on production sawing orders. Our typical cutting tolerance is: (Plus 1/8" Minus 000) All website orders will be cut to the typical Speedy Metals cutting tolerances.

Are steel and brass, or (Ferrous and Non-Ferrous) gauges the same thickness?
No, ferrous and non-ferrous gauges are not the same thickness. If you are unsure about what thickness to order then refer to the "Sheet Gage" link located on each applicable sheet product page.

Can Speedy Metals guarantee that the metal item I order will telescope into one another?
I'm sorry, due to our metals OD and ID producing mill tolerances, it would be very difficult to guarantee that the items you order will telescope. Our suggestion would be to take a very liberal approach to telescoping metals.

Can Speedy Metals provide engineering advise?
I'm sorry, any technical advice we furnish with respect to material is given without charge, and we shall have no obligation or liability for the advise given or the results obtained, all such advise being given and accepted at buyer's risk.
